English VIII is made up of three strands: an introduction to the discipline of Translation Studies, practice in specialized translation and practice in literary translation. Among the topics that we will be covering are: translation theories, translation techniques, translation skills, specialized translation, interpreting, translation of advertising, literary translation, adaptation.
